Long before she was crowned Ms. Universe® 2025/2026, before she became an international leader in pageantry and empowerment, before her name became synonymous with resilience, Annastasia experienced heartbreak from loss and separation from those she loves and shortly after, a moment that changed the trajectory of her life in a single instant.
A hoverboard accident left her with a minor brain & head injury, lasting complications, significant dental damage, and a year-long inability to drive. But the deepest wounds were not visible on scans or X-rays.
“They weren’t just physical injuries,” Annastasia has shared. “I lost my sense of who I was and my positive outlook was shaken.”
For a woman accustomed to confidence, visibility, and creative expression, suddenly feeling disconnected from her reflection was devastating. The accident fractured not only her body, but her identity. The version of herself she once recognized no longer seemed accessible.
What followed was not a quick comeback.
It was a slow, painful, deeply internal rebuilding.
The Darkest Chapter Becomes the Turning Point
Recovery did not arrive in a neat, inspirational montage. There were mistakes, setbacks, uncertainty, and days filled with frustration. Annastasia speaks candidly about the emotional weight of relearning how to trust herself again.
“I had to grieve the person I used to be,” she explains. “Before I could decide who I wanted to become.”
Instead of allowing the trauma and isolation to define her, she made a different choice: to study it, understand it, and eventually transform it into purpose.
That decision would shape everything that followed.
Today, Annastasia continues working toward full restoration of her dental injuries—progressing step by step, investment by investment. She does not hide that part of her story. In fact, she highlights it as proof that healing is not always linear.
“You don’t need to be finished to be powerful,” she says.
That belief sits at the core of her leadership style and her public platform.

Annastasia’s crowning as Ms. Universe® 2025/2026 is not a fairytale ending—it is a milestone within a much larger mission.
She currently serves as Executive Director of Universe International ®, the global organization overseeing multiple international pageant systems, including Ms. Universe® , Mrs. Universe®, Miss Teen Universe®,
Elite Universe® and Mr. Universe® and all relevant, respected Universe International ® titles.
But for Annastasia, pageantry is no longer about surface-level beauty.
It is about impact.
Under her leadership, the organization is undergoing a philosophical shift—moving away from outdated standards and toward a model that centers advocacy, authenticity, and representation.
Her guiding principle is simple yet powerful:

In practice, that means beauty is not restricted by age, background, body type, physical ability, or past trauma. It exists in courage. In character. In contribution.
“The crown isn’t a reward for perfection,” Annastasia says. “It’s a responsibility to serve.”

“Being seen without purpose doesn’t change anything,” she explains. “But being seen while standing for something can change everything.”

“Empowerment isn’t about pretending pain didn’t happen,” she explains. “It’s about acknowledging it and refusing to let it become your permanent story.”
Her approach is not motivational fluff. It is grounded, honest, and often uncomfortable in the best way.
